Kirsty decided to challenge the traditional agency model.

I’ve been working on digital, SEO specifically for around eight years now, most of that time within agencies.

I have worked for several agencies, some small, some part of large networks and whilst I adored my time working within agencies, and learnt so much, I couldn’t help but notice that they all had the same problems. They were all a bit too rigid in their structures, often they charged too much because they charged for staff that weren’t actively working on projects, they would use senior staff to pitch and junior staff to execute and they suffered a lot from staff turnover. So, around two years ago now, I had an idea. I knew a lot of people in the industry and, I knew a lot of incredibly talented consultants and freelancers, so, why not usurp all the areas that traditional agency models typically suffer with and create an agency that was just senior resource, all of whom worked remotely from wherever they liked, on projects they enjoyed, managing their own time. There’d be no structured agency model that meant clients would pay for staff they wouldn’t need and people would get to collaborate freely according to their skillset and project requirements. So, after a frantic couple of weeks of crying in stairwells and spilling coffee over government documents, Manyminds was born.

Since then I’ve spent a lot of time speaking at conferences about SEO, PR, Business and more recently, inspirational and leadership talks. I mainly focus now on developing client strategy, new business and where possible, being as non-irritating to the team as I can.
